Cassio Duarte, Brazilian percussionist, DJ and producer, has been living in Houston since 2013.
On late 80’s he started working with Brazilian stars like Moraes Moreira, João Bosco and Djavan. In 1991, his search for knowledge of different styles, brought him to Los Angeles, where he became an active studio musician for movie’s soundtracks and albums collaborating with artists like Toots Thielemans, Lee Ritenour, Sergio Mendes, Strunz & Farah, Brenda Russell, Angelique Kidjo, Googoosh, Paul Winter, Ivan Lins, Melissa Manchester, Googoosh and others.
He is author of the DVD “Introduction to Brazilian Percussion” and has performed on hundreds of albums including Chris Walkers ‘Tribute to Al Jarreau” and Alexandra Jackson’s “Brazilica” . He also recorded on many soundtracks for movies and TV shows, including the 3 seasons of “Narcos” on Netflix.
